We decided to participate in the event to support the industry of shellfish farming, which has been absent from the most important national exhibition centres for years. We have taken advantage of the opportunity to present Mitilab, an innovative software for the management of long-line mussel farming plants, both at our stand and through a dedicated seminar that has been held on the morning of Friday, February 16th. This revolutionary management tool allows both the small mussel farmer and large companies or cooperatives to follow their production up to the smallest detail, and to plan the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance required by the mussel farms. The software also provides a natural and simple implementation of the traceability mechanism of the product, a prerequisite for obtaining certifications, such as the organic one, which allow to give added value to the cultivated mussels. The mussel growers and the oyster farmers present at the fair were very interested in immediately testing this new technology, and the fair was an opportunity to share opinions and suggestions for possible future developments.

Aquafarm will be back on February 14th and 14th 2019 at the Pordenone exhibition center, after the success of this second edition which has seen an impetuous growth: more than 55% in the number of visitors compared to the 2017 edition, of which about 20% coming from 32 foreign countries, including the main ones in the Mediterranean basin: Albania, Croatia, Slovenia, Malta, Greece, Turkey, Spain and Portugal.
