On February 13th and 14th 2019 we took part in the third edition of Aquafarm, which took place in the Pordenone exhibition center. The event is an international exhibition-conference dedicated to the technologies, products and good practices of sustainable production of food from water. The event is aimed at professionals in the sector, addressing the issues of Mediterranean aquaculture and sustainable fishing.

Also this year we decided to participate in the event to continue supporting a sector, that of mollusc farming, which for years has been absent from the most important national trade fairs. Within a compact booth we presented the new version of Mitilab, an innovative software for the management of mussel farming plants or long-line oyster farming. This specialized management allows both the small mussel farmer and the large companies or cooperatives to follow the production in the most minute details, and to plan the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance required by the farms. The software also provides a natural and simple implementation of the tracking mechanism of the product, a prerequisite for obtaining certifications, such as the organic one, which allow to give added value to the cultivated mussels. We brought on display also the new reinforced versions of the star rollers and winches for mussel farming, and two models of our classic, very sturdy floating buoys for long line systems.

The event hosted 130 exhibitors from all over Europe, and provided for 29 sessions and conferences, of which 19 dedicated dedicated to aquaculture and algoculture, while 6 were seminars reserved to professionals. The speakers were 130 (40% from abroad). See you in Pordenone next year!
