This year edition of the Seafood Expo North America event, held in Boston, Massachusetts, from 19 to 21 March, has established new record attendance for visitors and exhibitors. This annual event is the largest American exhibition dedicated to the seafood and shellfish trade sector, counting on the participation of more than 1,300 companies from all over the world.

The North American and Canadian markets have always been very important to our company, and after several years of absence as exhibitors, this year we reappeared by bringing two of our best-selling machines for live shellfish weighing and packing. The electronic weighing belt allows to weigh mussels, clams or other molluscs quickly and accurately, thanks to the two stainless steel weighing cells and the double perforated belt that drains excess water before weighing. The manual clipper with thermal printer allows the product to be packaged in small plastic mesh bags (up to 3 kg), applying a tag label with all the data required by the current legislation.

The fair was the occasion to meet well-known customers and representatives of new interesting companies from the Atlantic American coast and from Canada, including the territories of Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland, with whom we were able to discuss and deepen the possibility of future collaboration regarding the technological development of their realities.

This year's edition of the Seafood Expo North America was the largest event organized in 37 years of history with more than 23,000 square feet of exhibition space used by 1,342 exhibiting companies from 53 countries - a stake that grew 9 percent over 2016. The number of visitors increased, with more than 22,000 seafood industry professionals from more than 120 countries participating in this edition of the event that beat every record.
