The Seafood Expo Global makes a great return with its 26th edition, that has been held from 24 to 26 April 2018 in Brussels, Belgium, and that will try to beat the historical results obtained from the last edition, which had been the biggest in the history of this event. The Seafood Expo Global is the most important worldwide event that is completely dedicated to the fishing industry, being able to bring together the most important representatives of the sector from all over the world.

The historic Belgian fair has always been the best opportunity to present to the operators of the sector the technological innovations for shellfish farming, processing and packaging. This year in particular we have had several innovations in our stand: in addition to the classic but always innovative automatic packaging machine Economy Bag, we have shown a new concept of automatic packaging machine for molluscs in plastic mesh. This new machine has a multi-head weigher with 10 heads having the precision of the tenth of a gram, and is particularly dedicated to fragile products and small productions, having as a standard a series of anti-breaking devices, which never let the product fall more than 20 cm. The new Mini Bag Trace (this is the name of the new solution) will be much appreciated even by customers constrained to work in small facilities, being less than 2.70 meters tall and having incredibly compact dimensions.

The staging of our stand was completed by the robust and economic bins tipper, a bag closer with thermal printer that allows you to close the molluscs in mesh bags and applying a tag label at the same time, and a SB 1 debyssing machine, suitable for small productions, capable of processing up to 500 kg per hour of mussels.

The 2018 edition of Seafood Expo Global was expected to be a great success, given that the general European economic recovery is also helping the relatively small sectors of shellfish farming and mollusc packaging. In fact, more than 28,500 operators, from more than 150 countries in the world, attended the event. In particular, this year we really appreciated the visit from our friends and customers coming also from Chile, the United States and New Zealand.
