After a year of anticipation, the time has finally come to come together again in the framework of the most prestigious event in the global seafood industry. The 29th edition of the Seafood Expo Global has graced the international stage and opened its doors to the world once more. This year, our rendezvous took place from April 25th to April 27th, 2023, at the renowned venue of Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, where the sea and business seamlessly merge into an extraordinary experience.
Despite the notable absence of key participating nations such as Russia and China in the previous edition, the expo exceeded all expectations. The Seafood Expo Global remains the premier worldwide event dedicated to the seafood industry, and once again, we anticipate welcoming the most influential representatives from every corner of the globe.
During our inaugural participation in the vibrant Catalan capital, we unveiled a refreshed corporate image, featuring an even more refined booth. This time as well, we had the pleasure of hosting our friends from Rotogal and Murre. Among our machinery exhibitions, we showcased the ever-reliable and innovative Economy Bag automatic packaging machine, along with the new edition of Mini Bag Trace. The latter is an automatic packaging machine tailored for delicate products and small-scale production, equipped with anti-breakage devices that prevent items from falling from a height greater than 20 centimeters. This machine garnered significant praise from customers with space constraints, measuring less than 2.70 meters in height and boasting incredibly compact dimensions.
Our booth was complemented by a robust and cost-effective bin tipper, a manual bag closer with thermal printing capabilities for packaging mollusks in net bags while simultaneously applying tag labels, and the brand-new open version of the electronic weighing conveyor belt, now remarkably easy to clean and sanitize.
The expo presented an exceptional opportunity to reconnect with clients and friends from around the world in person. In total, the event hosted 2,078 exhibiting companies from 76 different countries, generating an estimated economic impact of over 150 million euros for the city. The Expo spanned a net exhibition area of 49,339 square meters, spread across five pavilions. Diversified Communications reported that more than 33,000 seafood product buyers and suppliers from all over the world participated, a remarkable figure.
We eagerly anticipate welcoming you to our booth in 2024, where, as always, you can savor the finest Italian gastronomic delights. We look forward to your visit! See you soon!
