The 38th edition of the Seafood Expo North America in Boston, USA, has seen our participation, this year with a larger booth to better welcome you during the exhibition days. The fair has been held from 11 to 13 March 2018, and had to compete with the previous edition that set the record for visitors and exhibiting companies: the largest American trade fair dedicated to the fish and seafood industry had reached, in 2017, the participation of more than 1,300 companies from all over the world.

We have been present in the North American and Canadian markets for a very long time, and last year we decided to return to the fair after several years of absence. For the 2018 edition we doubled the stakes and hosted our visitors in a larger and more comfortable booth, so that everyone could better appreciate the great features of some of our best-selling machines in the field of live shellfish packaging. In particular, we brought to the exhibition an electronic weighing belt, which allows you to weigh mussels, clams or other mollusks quickly and precisely, thanks to the two stainless steel weighing cells and the double perforated belt capable of draining the water in excess before the weighing stage; the manual clipper with thermal printer, which allows to pack the product in small bags (up to 3 kg) of plastic net, applying a tag label with all the data required by current legislation; the manual bag closer with thermal printer, one of our most wanted products, which makes it easy to close and seal plastic mesh or jute bags up to 20 kg with tag labels.

Despite the huge blizzard that struck Boston on the last day of the fair, it was remarkable to see a convention center with so many companies in the fishing industry present their products to the North American market. The exhibition space was 258,360 net square meters, with 1,341 exhibiting companies from 57 countries, some of which were new to the event: Fiji, Oman, Ukraine and Venezuela. The fair has been a great opportunity to meet our customers on the North American territory, and know new interesting companies operating in the field of shellfish production and packing overseas.
